Areas We Serve
Sword Construction, LLC is a national commercial general contractor headquartered in Kingwood, Texas, licensed in 44 states. Our heaviest concentrations of work are in Texas, where we are based, and in Florida, and our national program clients get the same crews, superintendents, and systems in every state.
A National Commercial Contractor With One Team
Most of our work is program construction for national retail and restaurant brands: the same prototype, built again and again, across many states. Being licensed in 44 states means an owner can hand us a rollout without checking a coverage map, and because our superintendents and self-performing finish crews travel with the program, the store in the 40th state is built to the same standard as the first. See how that works on our commercial construction services pages, or browse completed projects from Texas to Tennessee, Kansas to Kentucky, and Louisiana to Minnesota.
When a project falls outside our licensed states, we say so at the first call. When it falls inside them, the process is identical wherever the site is: one contract, one superintendent responsible, and a schedule built backward from your opening date.
Texas: Where Sword Construction Is Headquartered
Sword Construction has been building in Texas from day one, from our headquarters in Kingwood on the northeast side of Houston. The Greater Houston metro is our home market and our deepest bench of local permitting and subcontractor knowledge, and we deliver commercial projects across the rest of the state through the same office.
Florida Commercial Construction
Florida is our second-largest concentration of work. Retail and restaurant development there runs at a pace matched by few states, and our national clients routinely include Florida sites in their rollouts, from the Panhandle to the Jacksonville corridor and down both coasts. The projects are delivered the same way as everywhere else: a Sword superintendent on site, self-performed finish trades, and local subcontractors we have vetted on prior work.
Read more about the regions we cover, the Florida Building Code, wind and flood requirements, and how bidding works there on our Florida commercial construction page, or send us the site and we will confirm licensing, timeline, and comparable completed work within five business days.
Louisiana Commercial Construction
Louisiana is our nearest neighbor and a growing concentration of completed work: O’Reilly Auto Parts stores in Baton Rouge, Bossier City, and New Orleans, and Family Dollar work in the Capital Region, all delivered about four hours from our Kingwood headquarters. Coastal wind, flood elevation, and deep-foundation requirements are normal parts of our Gulf Coast practice. See Louisiana commercial construction for codes, coverage, and completed projects.
Tennessee Commercial Construction
Tennessee is anchored by a completed O’Reilly Auto Parts build-out in Bartlett, a Memphis suburb. West Tennessee sits inside the New Madrid Seismic Zone, so seismic design is priced at the bid stage the way wind and flood are on our Gulf Coast work. See Tennessee commercial construction for codes, coverage, and completed projects.
Kansas Commercial Construction
Kansas is our newest state page, anchored by completed Family Dollar and Dollar Tree work in Washington and Beloit. Kansas has no statewide commercial building code, so each city and county adopts its own, and we confirm the adopted code and local registration requirements at the bid stage. See Kansas commercial construction for codes, coverage, and completed projects.
Missouri Commercial Construction
Missouri is our newest state page, anchored by a completed Family Dollar interior build-out. Missouri has no statewide commercial building code, so each city and county adopts its own, and the southeast of the state sits on the New Madrid Seismic Zone, where seismic design rules can apply. We confirm the adopted code, seismic requirements, and local licensing at the bid stage. See Missouri commercial construction for codes, coverage, and completed work.
